The Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District is partnering with the Department of Public Health and metro Atlanta water managers to educate real estate professionals and the public on septic systems and water quality issues. The public benefits from working with real estate professionals who can explain septic systems and water quality issues that affect their properties, and who can provide reliable resources to them.

This 3-Hours CE Course will provide basic information on septic systems, how to find records, system maintenance, and water quality issues relevant to a real estate professional or homebuyer.

Advanced registration is $10 for Members and $15 for Non-Members. Walk-in fees are $15 for Members and $20 for Non-Members. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Please note that you will not receive CE Credit if you have taken this course at DeKalb Association of REALTORS® within 365 days.

Must be in class at 9:30 am and stay the entire time in order to receive the 3 Hours of CE Credit.

DeKalb REALTORS® takes photos at all events. By attending DAR events, you grant permission to take your photo and use for event promotion unless you notify the Association CEO in writing prior to the event.

Danny Johnson
Danny Johnson is a water resources engineer currently working for the Atlanta Regional Commission and serving as the manager of the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District. The Metro Water District coordinates the water resource management planning for the 15 county metro Atlanta region. Mr. Johnson previously served as an engineering consultant on small and large scale water, wastewater and reuse infrastructure design projects for public utilities across Georgia. 

Alan Gaines is the Environmental Health County Manager for DeKalb County. The Environmental Health office regulates and monitors residential and commercial on-site sewage management systems to minimize the risk of health problems.
