Foundations of Business Brokerage is intended for those new to business brokerage, but familiar 
with commercial real estate. 
While real estate is sometimes included, business brokers focus primarily on non-real estate assets like inventory and equipment, on financial performance like gross revenues or net profits, on “intangibles” like goodwill and copyrights – much less on the business’s physical space. 


This training presumes basic understanding of retail brokerage, commercial leasing, financing, and closing procedures. So, we’ve limited our topics to analyzing, pricing, listing, marketing, and selling ongoing business concerns – apart from any leased or owned real estate those businesses may occupy. 
Our aim is to elevate your competence, confidence, and reputation as a business brokerage specialist.

Marty Rueter
Marty Rueter is an experienced REALTOR®, Real Estate Broker, instructor and public speaker. He is currently the Executive Vice President (managing director) of one of area’s largest commercial real estate firms, with over 100 independent contractors; providing commercial sales, leasing and related real estate services throughout Metro Atlanta and North Georgia. He writes and teaches basic and advanced commercial training courses for new and seasoned Associates (CE accreditation). He has created structured marketing and networking opportunities for agents; operational guidelines, and transaction systems. As a 4th generation REALTOR®, whose family founded their own brokerage in 1900, Marty brings a high level of passion and excellence in his delivery of information to enhance and elevate the knowledge of those who attend his classes.
