This session is designed to bring valuable safety awareness training to our members and guests. Participants will learn practical strategies to stay alert and protect themselves in everyday situations.

The program will feature demonstrations from Thomas Moore, Public Education Specialist with the DeKalb County Fire Department. A Georgia native and graduate of Georgia State University, Thomas is the youngest Public Education Specialist in his unit. With a background in politics, media, and non-profits, he brings a unique perspective, using storytelling and design to inform and inspire.

In addition, past president HB Moore will lead a discussion on firearm safety as part of the broader conversation on personal protection. This portion will provide context, education, and responsible practices for those who choose to incorporate firearms into their safety planning.

Together, these perspectives will offer real-life safety awareness and practical takeaways designed to keep our members safe while serving the community.
